***RETURN POLICY***

Anyone who buys and picks up items locally have 7 days from purchase to exchange (if item is available) or refund if there is an item defect, item doesn't fit, etc.

All items that are in the sale or clearance category are final sale items and may not be exchanged or returned for store credit. 

Customer is responsible for cost of shipping when returning or exchanging. Customer will receive store credit for the price paid for specific item and will exclude price paid for shipping and other charges. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

EXCHANGE: If you are wanting to exchange an item, please e-mail us with the subject "exchange" and let us know what size you would like to exchange. If we don't have it in stock you are welcome to send as return and we will give you store credit. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges. If we do have size needed in stock, buyer can ship item to us within 7 business days and then e-mail us proof of shipment. Once received we will ship out new item. 

RETURN: To qualify for return, item must be unused, unwashed and in the same condition you received it, including the item having original tag still on it. If it has any foul odors, covered in pet hair, etc. item will not be accepted. Once we receive item we will inspect it and issue store credit if approved. 

Shoes must be included in a box to protect original shoe box. If the shoe box is damaged, they will not be accepted for a return. 

Store credits will be issued to email address on file within 7 business days.  If you place an order before your store credit has been received we cannot apply that store credit to that order.  We also cannot apply store credit to an order placed where you chose not to use it.

**Due to limited quantities of items that we have on hand we may not be able to process exchanges.**

Actual color of clothing may vary slightly due to lighting, computer monitors, etc and do not qualify as a defect. Certain patterns may vary due to manufacturing

 

SHIPPING

Standard shipping is free within the United States. Alaska and Hawaii are a flat rate of $8.99. Priority shipping is extra charge. If you select priority shipping at checkout it does not necessarily mean your order will get to you any faster, although it may, it just means your order gets moved to the top of our list and will be packaged and processed faster than those that pay standard shipping. We use USPS for all our packages. Please check their website for shipping times.

Orders will be shipped out within 3-5 business days at the latest depending on sale volumes. We do try to get all orders out sooner than that.

We (Mel & Mae) are not responsible for any delays in shipping times made my the USPS. Once the package leaves our hands we have no control over it. We are not responsible for packages being delivered damaged or packages that are marked delivered even when they are not. Please contact your mail carrier (1-800-ASK-USPS) or possibly neighbors for any problems regarding that and before contacting us. 

 

Important Duties and Taxes Disclaimer: Import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are not included in the product price or shipping and handling cost and it will be collected upon delivery from the carriers for certain packages. These charges are recipient’s responsibility as we are only charging the transportation fee for the packages. You may check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be. We cannot give you any information as to what those fees might cost.

 

DEFECTS

If your item has a true defect please contact us within 3 calendar days at sales@melandmae.com. We will be happy to assist you in the matter. If you contact us after those 3 days, your item will no longer qualify for a refund or replacement. Any defects as a result of improper care do not qualify. You will need to email us with a picture of the item for proof. You have 10 calendar days to return item from date received. If we don't have your returned item in stock we will issue you a refund.
